Prayed for You this Morning...

Iris, Gavin, Vin, Josh, Hughes, Sarah Kate, Cooper, Kyra, Jacob and Hudson...
I prayed for you by name this morning.  I believe that God placed us together for an incredible school year to learn and grow.  In just two short weeks, we will begin our nature walks, building, painting, cooking, daily digging into wonderful books, playing games and math activities.  We will enjoy our awesome playground and lake that is full of tadpoles and other neat creatures.  We will also study God's word that will prayerfully become a part of YOU and your story.
I look forward to meeting each of you very soon as I come to your house to visit!  Please show me all of your favorites including toys, books, legos, dolls, paintings, pictures and especially your pet! Ask me any question that you would like about Kindergarten!   Please know that on the first day of school your parents will drop you off in the classroom and days after that I will meet you in the front entrance and walk you down to the classroom.  I will not let you get lost.  I would love to hold your hand if you need me.
I can't wait to be your teacher.  I returned to teaching last year after 15 years of being home with my children.  I was born and raised in Atlanta and have been married to my wonderful husband for 20 years (on August 3rd). We have four children.  My oldest is Annie, who just turned 16.  She loves acting and singing. Katherine, my 2nd daughter is 12 years old and she loves running, tennis, softball, writing and making her own movies.  I have twin boys, Brittain and Jack, who are 9 years old be in 3rd grade at Perimeter.  They love baseball, tennis, playing outside, Atlanta Braves and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.  We have a 5-year-old dog "Chipper" that is sitting at my feet as I type this.  All four of my children attend (have attended) PCS since 1st grade and I know as a parent and now as a teacher that it is an AWESOME place to learn and grow.  I home-schooled my children in their kindergarten years and we read the same wonderful books that we will read in class and then you will take home to read with your family.  These awesome stories are still some of our family favorites.
I will continue to pray for you daily as we prepare for the great things that this school year holds.  Will you pray for your classmates and for me?  God moves great things when we ask Him!
See you soon.
I look forward to replacing the photo of my classroom sign above with our very own "first day" class photo.
